Who We Are
The STARZ Foundation is a registered 501(C)(3) non profit organization and is registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission. We offer a variety of services and programs for individuals, children, families, and communities affected with special needs and or disabilities. All of the programs and services provided are provided on a National level and are provided at No cost!

All services are made possible through the generous funding made on behalf of local business's, organizations, and from views like you! Our Story
Founder and CEO, Diana M. Baumgartner talks about the inspiration behind the The STARZ Foundation. "I can think of a million different reasons for venturing into both The STARZ Foundation and Little H.E.R.O.S. Magazine but the sole inspiration was given to me on February 20th, the day my son Elijah was born. The events that surrounded Elijah's birth were both traumatic and unexpected as many of the stories that surround a child born with a special need or disability are. It was difficult being placed into a world that I knew nothing of. Elijah was born with Cerebral Palsy, Mild-Mental Retardation, and ADD. Over the past twelve years of his life, we have grow as a team and we have both had to accept many things. From the countless and on-going surgeries to learning to cope with his pain and the frustrations within our selves and our family that seem to arrive on a daily basis.  It has not been an easy journey but the pages that we have written together as a family and as individuals are precious. They have tested our strength and abilities, as well as our endurance but the most important thing that we have all found is the ability to heal along the way. I admit there have been many obstacles in our paths, we have had to fight the state to obtain the services he needed and which he is entitled to. We have had to fight case workers who refuse to have an open ear, but through it all we continued and have refused to give up!  My point being, children, families, and the many special individuals who dedicate their lives to helping children like my son and families like ours take great risks. Nothing in the world of disabilities is easy. It goes beyond all aspects of life!

I know for a fact that I would not be as strong as I am today if it were not for Elijah. Despite his pain and disabilities he continues to grow and never fails to smile. He amazes me with his beautiful and pure heart! Tears fill my eyes as I think back to all of the moments when he had to be so brave, when he was braver than I was the many times they wheeled him into the operating room. I always hold back my tears and try to keep a strong face for him, after all he has to be brave and so must I! But inside after I feel the immense pain in my heart grow numb for a while I find peace, as I see his smiles and vivid spirit  it makes it all worth it!  My son has created a strong heart for many and I would never trade that in for anything in this life!

Our Purpose
With that being said, it is for these reasons that The STARZ Foundation exists! It is because I never want to see another child, another parent, or another family watch the years go by as their child goes without the necessary equipment and therapy needed.  If a family can not afford to get their child the help they so desperately need and if the state, city, and government agencies can not provide them than I know a place that can! So be proud to have such an amazing support vehicle for you and your family! I urge you to use all that The STARZ Foundation and Little H.E.R.O.S. Magazine have to offer to it's fullest and share it with those in need!
